Akila the Nile Crocodile is an incredibly special resident at our sanctuary! She was donated to us in 2024 by Gatorland Orlando! Akila was the largest of her siblings and started picking on them. She is a highly intelligent animal that is knows her name and comes when called. Akila is 6 years old and her favorite form of enrichment is shredding pumpkins!
Tick-Tock is an 11 year old Morelets Crocodile that was donated in 2024 by a private owner from Texas, along with 3 other Nile Crocodiles! Tick-Tock is currently our only Morelets crocodile at the sanctuary. She also is the most temperature-sensitive crocodilian at the sanctuary.

Cadmus was originally paired up with Lyra, and the two had lived together for years. But once they were moved into a larger enclosure at the sanctuary, he started to kick her out of the water and they had to be separated. We hope that once Cadmus hits maturity (he is still young) he can be re-introduced to Lyra. Although as a sanctuary we do not breed any of our animals (alligator and crocodile eggs are collected and not incubated), we do prefer to house the same species together when possible.
Lyra is our smallest crocodile at the sanctuary at 6 years old and just 4'9! Lyra the Nile Crocodile joined us in 2024 from a private owner in Texas, with 3 other crocodiles for permanent placement. We hope that Lyra can be re-introduceded to Cadmus when she is bigger.
